Okay, so I was grossly misinformed a few posts ago and I would like to go on record and correct my mistake so that people don't think I'm completely bizarre (at least, not more than they do already.) I posted a while ago that I loved Berlioz's "March to the Scaffold." Well, I went online and tried to find it again, and found that I was quite mistaken. Though I will admit that as an interesting piece of music and well constructed, it was not the song I intended to gush over. So tonight, I corrected my mistake by inquiring (again) at the original source. It looks like my reading of the itunes library was wrong. Really, the song I intended was Brahms' Symphony No# in F Major, 3rd Movement. It's sweeping melodies and drawn-out chords are just breathtaking. That is truly a song I adore. So, tonight, I'm feeling happy. (It's the simple things that matter.) Plus, I found a shirt that I'd lost. Okay, I'd loaned it to a friend who was deliquent in returning it. So, all in all, it was a good night. (I promise to post something more substantial later, but this needed to be remedied immediately.) Au revoir!

i'm sorry, but how did you mix up Berlioz and Brahms? they are in two totally different genres of music with two completely different styles of composition! and i thought you were improving in your love and knowledge of classical music!!!

I know they're different. The mistake was made when I looked at my friends itunes, from which the song was playing. If you're at all familiar with itunes, you can push play on one song, and it continues down the list, but you're start song stays highlighted. The highlighted sond was Berlioz, though lower down, Brahms was playing (alphabetical listing by composer.). It really does make sense. :S

but listening to a Brahms and thinking it was a Berlioz? Inconceivable!!!

Okay, I confess. I couldn't recognize Berlioz at all. Don't know him like I should. Sorry. :)

neither do i. not sure i'd recognize a work as specifically Berlioz or Brahms. But i had to give you a hard time 'bout it. (Brahms is not my favorite composer and i know next to nothing about Berlioz.)
